Bintangor & Sarikei are about 70KM from Sibu. Rubber and black pepper were the major agricultural products. The black pepper production in Sarikei Division accounted for half of total black pepper production in Sarawak. Today, Sarikei is widely known for its sweet and juicy pineapple production. Sarikei Division also become the main supplier of fruits, vegetables for Central Sarawak. Thus, the town is also nicknamed as the "food basket" of Sarawak.
Your journey onwards will stop fruit stall by the countryside where you can tantalize your taste buds to a barrage of tropical flavors from Sweet or Sour Tangerines to Pineapples and other local fruits. Continue by land to Ulu Sarikei Countryside. View the hilly scenery on the way with some peppers vineyards, rubber trees, rice paddy even longhouses just by the roadside. Enjoy some splashing moment at the simple yet naturally beautiful water steam.
